Configure Etsnipe to get the best results

Before your first listing, take five minutes to set up Etsnipe. You do it once, and every new listing benefits.

Where are the settings?

Almost everything is in Listing Settings, in the tool's sidebar: sale price, strikethrough price, stock quantity, your photo and video scenes. Tag presets are created in Keywords. These settings are saved and applied to every new listing in the Listing Generator.

The essential settings

Margin and rounding

This is the most important setting. You pick your margin once, and Etsnipe works out the Etsy price at every import: supplier price × margin, then rounded.

Rounding makes prices look natural: ….99 (€8.75 → €8.99), to the nearest 10¢ (€8.75 → €8.80), to the next euro (€8.75 → €9.00), or the exact price.

You can also set a default stock quantity and a strikethrough price: the discount shown on Etsy. For a specific product, everything can be changed in the generator's Product step.

Tag presets

A preset is a group of tags you reuse. Selling jewelry? Keep your best niche tags in a preset and never type them again.

Create it in Keywords, then pick it in the Photos step of the Listing Generator, under Must-have tags. Its tags are added to the AI's, within Etsy's limit of 13 tags.

The auto prompt: nothing to set up

For photos, the simplest option is to configure nothing. With the Advanced plan, the auto prompt does a product photographer's job: it studies your photo, writes a different setting for each image, then recreates your exact product.

Size charts are cleanly redrawn instead of being transformed. It's all explained in Etsnipe's AI photo generator.

My photo scenes

Prefer to pick the setting yourself, or don't have Advanced? Use “My scenes” mode. Ready-made scenes are included (on a table, held in a hand, worn from the front…), and you can create your own in Listing Settings, under “My photo scenes”.

A scene is a setting you describe: “on a wooden table”, “held in a hand against a neutral background”… The more precise your description, the more the photos match your shop's look.

Image quality

Two levels, chosen per listing in the Photos step.

Standard1 credit per photo
Sharp, realistic photos. The right choice for creating lots of listings without draining your credits.
High2 credits per photo
More detail, and a finer result when buyers zoom in. Useful for jewelry, textures and small items.
What about the custom text prompt?
It's been removed. Each listing's text (title, description, 13 tags) now follows the same template for everyone, and you stay in control: everything can be edited in the Preview & send step.
